K. Suzanne Pennington, Attorney
(Formally, K. Suzanne Thoman)
Suzanne’s practice is concentrated in the related areas of estate planning, estate administration, estate and fiduciary litigation, and family business planning. Her estate planning and administration practice includes the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance medical directives. She is experienced in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, and is certified by the Virginia Supreme Court as a guardian ad litem. Suzanne also has experience in personal injury, criminal law and wrongful death.
Suzanne is a graduate of Tidewater Community College where she attained an Associate’s Degree and graduated cum laude. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She is a 2006 graduate of Regent University School of Law where she studied International Law in Strasbourg, France.
Suzanne frequently speaks on topics relating to estate planning, taxation, probate, elder law, and family businesses. She has also written and lectured to other attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors in the related areas of estate planning, taxation and administration for the continuing education required in the various professions.
Kimberly M. Herrick, Paralegal
Kimberly loves helping our clients. She is an experienced paralegal and knows a lot about Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives Trusts and Estates. Among other thing, she is responsible for assisting Suzanne with the preparation of documents, she is answering any questions that our client's may have during the estate planning process. She also works closely with Suzanne to ensure that our clients are thrilled with their final estate plan.
Rebecca L. Grimstead, Funding Assistant
Rebecca makes sure that all of your funding documents are accurately completed and reflect the plan you’ve designed with our firm. She assists with the review and organization of asset information and makes sure that everything is in order when you come in on the date of your funding meeting.
